Throughout his career, Michael Jordan gathered massive crowds wherever he went. During one such gathering in San Antonio, he was even nearly attacked. While that is true and understandable from a fan’s perspective, it’s much different for the celebrity. And this Hollywood friend of Jordan knew that better than anyone. So, when he unknowingly became MJ’s neighbor, he tried to be a good neighbor!

The 64-year-old actor and comedian Damon Wayans is well known for In Living Color, Saturday Night Live, and much more. But not everyone is aware that he lived next to Jordan. Unbelievable, right? Both Wayans and his son, Wayans Jr., had several memories of their neighbor.

It might have been for a brief time, but both Jordan and the family got close. During Wayans Sr.’s latest interview on the Club Shay Shay podcast, he revealed many more details about being a good neighbor. The fan inside him was thrilled and excited to visit his new neighbor, Jordan, every single day, but he refrained from doing so.

“We became like friends but I gave Michael his space right because you don’t go behind a gated community to be bothered right by the dude next door. So we’ve had or have a friendship and and it’s based in love and respect he’s taught me a lot of things about life and how to navigate fame and all that other stuff.” he said.

After learning that Wayans Sr. had an interesting neighbor, his friends began to visit him. But he also asked his friends not to visit Jordan. However, it was Jordan who visited them often. It got to the point where Wayans Sr.’s son accused him of visiting their house too often.

“Snacks! So many snacks. Your snack game was off the chain. Michael Jordan used to come over and eat all my snacks. That’s how good our snacks were.” “He came over too much. Shout-out to Jordan though,” Wayans Jr. said in an interview with People.
