NBA stars and most other athletes will appreciate a good workout anywhere they want. Mark Cuban recognized all the potential one startup had as someone who proactively ensures his NBA team accesses the best resources. Someone else with a knack for recognizing a good entrepreneurial venture is Shaquille O’Neal. On a successful wellness kick, Big Diesel is putting all his star power to take one fitness brand to new heights.

Following the initial partnership, Shaq is doing what he does best – being the face of the brand. He’s promoting longevity being the commercial force he is.

In 2021, ‘Shark Tank’ viewers were introduced to MAXPRO Fitness. Nezar Akeel’s compact at-home gym equipment was as impressive to the Sharks as much as his sales. Dallas Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban outbid his fellow investors by penning a $500,000 deal with MAXPRO for 3% and additional advisory shares.

Pretty quickly after the episode aired, Akeel’s company had a major announcement about another partner from the NBA sphere. Shaquille O’Neal joined the company in 2021 as well. Following that, he is now starring in a commercial where he’s using the MAXPRO equipment.

Flaunting his new ripped body, Shaq works up a sweat to live up to the MAXPRO motto, “Be epic, train epic.” After the official company page released the commercial, Big Aristotle shared it with his 32 million followers on Instagram.

He gave a glimpse of a couple of the 150+ exercises possible on the Shark Tank product through this ad. The at-home gym tool is also complemented with a free app to demonstrate the fitness routines.
