There are several reasons for Shaq to start something fresh there, but the one that steals the show is his unconditional service to the public. Despite once receiving shade for his charitable investments, the 4x NBA champion has continued his philanthropic activities.

It’s not easy to be Shaq. Even after spending millions of his net worth to help those in need, the 51-year-old has been accused of doing it for the press time and again. However, for Shaq, people come above the press.

Despite the backlash for his kind gestures, the Los Angeles Lakers icon decided to continue his service to the people. It has been a few weeks since Shaq announced ‘The Event’ which will take place on October 7th. The last two times were a grand hit with stars like Adam Levine, Justin Bieber, Jimmy Kimmel, etc. entertaining an enormous crowd.

The $400 million worth star hopes to continue it as he has roped in superstars John Legend and Jennifer Hudson. Moreover, the event will be hosted by comedian and actor Joel McHale. As usual, this fundraising event will look to contribute towards charity.

This time, Shaq has announced a large technological center in Vegas for the kids. In a news release, the 4x NBA champion revealed, “We started building one in Vegas. I’m doing a very large technological, beautiful center at Las Vegas. It’s gonna be so beautiful… and it’s gonna be there forever.” Despite all this, detractors found a way to diminish O’Neal’s work. But he had a perfect reply for them.

How did Shaq give a perfect reply to the media accusation? 

Shaq is known for his savage replies but his response to the accusation of doing charity for media was hard-hitting. The 2000 MVP shared, “It costs you nothing to be nice, make sure you take care of people, make them smile.” 

He added, “Seven grand ain’t nothing to me…I got 15 commercials running right now, I don’t need no press, I don’t need people to like me. But if I can help a mom out…I always do that.”
