Miami’s longest tenured player, Udonis Haslem was a prominent presence on the basketball court since the 2000s. Having spent over two decades with the Miami Heat, the former player played alongside his team to secure three championship wins and establish himself as a power forward? to watch out for. After a long and successful career, Haslem called it quits after becoming the oldest player to feature in an NBA Finals.
As the former player came out of retirement to sign a deal for one day, two individuals took to social media to share their presence amongst the basketball athlete.
UD? gets a shout out from a mother during a Marlins home game

A few hours, the Miami Marlins faced off against the Los Angeles Dodgers during the ongoing MLB playoffs. Designating the game as ?UD Night? Udonis Haslem was invited to be an in-game host during the highly anticipated match. The former player came out of retirement for just one day to be a part of a different sport at a different level.
“I’m very excited to sign my one-day contract with the Marlins. As a home-town kid from the 305, this is truly, truly a dream come true,” said Haslem prior to the game.
During the course of the game, an Instagram user by the name of Jasmine Gray shared a story. It featured (her daughter) standing alongside UD as the duo looked outside of their box and towards the stadium.
Being overwhelmed by the moment, Jasmine wrote a caption alongside the eye catching photograph that read, ?Thanks for loving on my baby.?
The story caught the attention of the Heat star himself, who reshared it on his own Instagram story.
While Harlem had donned a jersey with his iconic no. 40 scrawled at the back, the girl wore a shirt that read ?Baker 15.?
Udonis Haslem and family have a Marlins moment
Jasmine wasn?t the only one who was sending out her love to the former NBA player on the night of the baseball match.
The former player and his wife have known each other since their days at the University of Florida. While he was spending his days with basketball, the future Mrs. Haslem was on the track and field team. The couple dated for 14 years before eventually tying the knot in 2013.

Udonis?s wife Faith Rein Haslem took to her Instagram account to share a post a picture of her being held by her husband. Standing beside them were the couple?s two children, Josiah and Elijah. The post carried the caption ?Go Marlins.?
