The leaked footage of an incident that took place two years ago has shocked even the advent trash talker. He exclaimed his surprise over the same online.

Kevin Garnett highlights an incident involving a former WNBA star

Garnett was infamously brutal to play against. Whether it was his words or his physicality, KG worked hard to grind down his opponents. It seems he is applauding a former WNBA player for doing the same. He shared a video of a moment that took place between Liz Cambage and the Nigerian Basketball team back in 2021.

The video shows Cambage taking offense after a member of the Nigerian team lightly pushed her. She was heard saying “You ain’t gon do sh*t” and “You ain’t gon do sh*t, b*tch”. Soon after that, as the match progressed, Cambage slapped another member of the Nigerian team in the face.

This left her holding her nose. The Nigerian player got so mad that she rushed over to where Cambage was standing and punched her in the face, knocking the WNBA player away.

As the Nigerian team tried to hold back the player, Cambage walked away and was seen asking the audience members “You got that on film?

The footage was captured during a game between the teams of Australia and Nigeria, which was held right before the official start of the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.

The reel caught the attention of Kevin Garnett, who uploaded it on his story for his 1 Million followers. Surprised at what was said, Garnett wrote in his story’s caption “Tings got chippy out there”, accompanied by various emojis.

As the whole story comes out, Liz Cambage faces backlash.

Though the incident took place two years ago, the leaked footage was made public recently and has been making waves for the past few days.

Reports of Cambage using racial slurs against the Nigerian team first started to surface back in May 2022. Except for everything that was said in the above footage, the player was also reportedly heard calling the Nigerian players “monkeys” and telling them “Go back to your Third World country”.

After she did an interview with the Bleacher Report to clarify the incident from her viewpoint, many players spoke out against the same.

In the aftermath of the footage getting leaked, various players from the Nigerian team united to discredit the 31-year-old player.  Cambage did not participate in the Olympics, withdrawing less than two weeks before the official start of the tournament. She stated that the decision was taken over ‘mental-health issues’.
