There are a very few who have won everything in the NBA. One of them is the Celtics great Kevin Garnett. Be it the MVP, DPOY or the Larry O’Brien trophy, KG has it all in his bag. Since bidding farewell to basketball, it seems like the Hall of Famer is exploring other ball games. Recently on his social media handle, Garnett was left completely awestruck when he witnessed the pitching technique of a certain legend from the sport of baseball.

Kevin Garnett and baseball go way back. More than a decade back Garnett was invited to throw the ceremonial first pitch. But quite recently he was taken aback when he came to the realization that his pitching is nowhere close to the level required in Major League Baseball.

NBA Champion with the Boston Celtics, Kevin Garnett enjoys a massive social media following of over a million people. He loves going down the internet rabbithole and sharing all his amusing findings with his followers. Recently, the Big Ticket posted a clip which highlighted how good of a pitcher Tim Wakefield was.

Garnett shared a clip where Wakefield threw a ball which moved past the batsman like a gush of wind.

The clip uploaded by CBS Sports was captioned as “So mesmerizing.” Tim Wakefield, now 57, definitely mastered the art of throwing a knuckleball after spending almost two decades in the league for the Boston Red Sox.

Garnett reshared the clip and wrote, ” True knuckleball. Dammmnn that’s smooth there. Never seen like that.”

Kevin Garnett and the Boston Red Sox go at least sixteen years back. He impressed many as he showed off how well he can control the ball in both basketball and baseball.

Kevin Garnett is always gonna be remembered in Boston.

Apart from his stint at the Celtics which won him the NBA Championship he was also the ceremonial pitcher for the Boston Red Sox about sixteen years ago. While being on the baseball pitch he greeted his friend David Ortiz and threw an impressive lob towards him.

He also greeted Red Sox legends Larry Lucchino and Carlton Fisk. Apart from the Red Sox, KG also maintains his allegiance to the Patriots.

It’ll be interesting to see if we’ll witness the 2008 NBA Champion back in the stands to support his Boston teams during the season.
