His performance impressed the anchor so much that he gave him the spot of the best player under the age of 24. We’re talking, of course, about Anthony Edwards.

The Minnesota Timberwolves player has been raising eyebrows with his spectacular play since last season. He even managed to up his game during the playoffs.

While he placed Edwards on a high pedestal, he snubbed San Antonio Spurs player Victor Wembanyama in the same process. After all, many already consider him to be the future face of the NBA.

The clip caught the attention of various people, including Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O?Neal. He took to his Instagram account to share the video with his 32.1 Million followers.

O’Neal wants to see Victor Wembanyama “play a full game”

Victor Wembanyama joined the San Antonio Spurs as the first overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft. Despite his alleged feud with Britney Spears and the fact that he has not played an NBA Game, many people consider the young star to be the next best thing.

Shaquille O?Neal was not amongst them. When asked about his opinion regarding the Spurs? latest pick, the four-time champ expressed his hesitation in calling Wemby a star already.

?I?m a bit skeptical because the good and bad thing about highlights,? said Shaq during the interview. ?When you put your highlights on, you always show the good parts. I want to see this kid (Wembanyama) play a full game.?

In other words, the Lakers legend wants to see the young prodigy earn his title by playing proper NBA minutes. Once Shaq sees for himself what Wembanyama has to offer, only then will he form an opinion. For now, it seems that Anthony Edwards is O’Neal’s pick for the future.
