Magic Johnson continues to make good use of social media by praising unsung heroes. Just as he thought that fans’ cheers were not enough, he went on to give a shoutout to an Indiana Pacers star. Following Tyrese Haliburton‘s impressive performance in the In-Season tournament quarterfinals win against the Boston Celtics, the NBA icon urged to grant him special recognition.

Expressing excitement over Haliburton’s upcoming game against the Milwaukee Bucks, the Los Angeles Lakers legend shared his thoughts on his favorite platform X.

Magic Johnson is looking forward to the games in Las Vegas

Apart from the Pacers and the Bucks matchup, the Lakers will go up against the New Orleans Pelicans in the semis. While showing his interest in both games, the 5x NBA champion lauded the Pacers’ rising star, Haliburton. 

First, he went on to show his support for the NBA commissioner and wrote, “I want to give a big shoutout to NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and his staff for putting on an electrifying in-season tournament! You can tell the players are into the tournament because the games are exciting and engaging night after night.”

Showing his interest in both the big games on Thursday, he added, “I’ll be tuned in with my hot popcorn ready to watch my Lakers play the Pelicans. but first, I’m going to catch Giannis, Damian Lillard, and the Bucks against Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers.Speaking of Haliburton’s thrilling performance, Johnson said, “The way Haliburton is playing this year, he should be an All Star!”

Tyrese Haliburton dropped his first triple-double 

The Pacers beat the Boston Celtics 122-112 in the quarterfinals on Monday night. Even with Jayson Tatum‘s 32 points and 12 rebounds, the Celtics weren’t able to get past Haliburton.

The Pacers point guard recorded his first-ever triple-double thanks to 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 13 assists while shooting 10-of-18 overall and 5-of-11 from three-point range.
