Back in August 2024, Zaya Wade stepped onto Wrigley Field to throw the first pitch at the Chicago Cubs game. She then gave Clark—the team’s Mascot—a hug. Father Dwyane Wade was so happy, he took to social media and wrote, “Them Wades” with a fire emoji. Now, it is time for another family member to shine. We are talking about six-year-old Kaavia, who made her NFL debut at the Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks game. Proud parents Wade and Gabrielle Union couldn’t help but feel emotional.
Kaavia was seen performing alongside other kids to Eminem’s ‘Lose Yourself’. Mom Gabrielle Union was sitting on the sidelines and recording the dance routine. She shared the clip on Instagram with the caption, “My fave position from the sideline… mommy.” But hey, her dad was cheering for her too.

“Supporting Kaavia,” Wade wrote on his IG story, while also showing Union in her ‘stage mom’ era. But that’s not where things end.
The Rams acknowledged Dwyane Wade’s presence and shared a photo of him with Puka Nacua, Kevin Dotson, and Cooper Kupp. “DWade in the house!” they wrote on Instagram.
For those concerned about the outcome, the game was a nail-biter that ended with the Seahawks defeating the Rams 30-25. With that result, the Rams closed their regular season at 10-7, locking in the NFC’s No. 4 seed. Up next, they’ll face the loser of the clash between Detroit and Minnesota, who will claim the No. 5 seed. But let us also get back to Kaavia.
It seems like her parents finally let her perform the way she wanted to. After all, in December, her parents left her quite annoyed. What are we talking about?

Well, Kaavia knows how infuriating it can be to deal with adults. In a video posted by the parents on Instagram, the family was seen sitting together to sing ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’. “You need to play the song,” she urged them while the adults simply listened to the lyrics and repeated them back to each other.
“You’re not doing it right,” she exclaimed with her hands up in the air. She was exasperated. When Wade tried explaining that they were simply trying to learn the lyrics, ‘Shady Baby’ hit back, stating, “You could learn the words with the song when it’s playing.”
But no one listened to little Kaav!
The surrounding adults kept trying to learn the lyrics when Wade asked, “They got a new version of this?” Now that question earned a big eye-roll from Kaavia. So we reckon that little Kaav was happy performing at the Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks game, with her parents on the sidelines.
When Kaavia was annoyed by her parents’ holiday plans!
December was a month of joy for the Wade family. To celebrate, they decided to go on a beach vacation. Sounds fun, right? Well, it was fun for everyone except Kaavia. She wasn’t feeling the holiday vibes and California just wasn’t cutting it for her.
Union mentioned in her Instagram stories, “@kaaviajames 😂😆😂 She wishes we were in Hawaii 😂😂.”

In fact, in the pictures the mother posted on Instagram, their daughter was seen wearing a pink puffer jacket and she even used the jacket’s hood to hide her face! In the pictures where her face was partially visible, she looked like she was staring daggers at the camera.

Regardless, the mother knows that the moment will be a part of Kaavia’s core memories when she grows up. She also joked by writing, “This is definitely gonna be a therapy session in about 20 years.”

“Kaavs face is classic,” wrote Gabrielle Union after posting yet another picture of her daughter sulking. Let’s just say, the six-year-old was finally happy to have her own moment at her NFL debut. And so were her parents.
