The Kardashian sisters and Jenners aren’t unknown to NBA fans. The socialites have dated NBA players before. Kendall Jenner dated Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker for a few years. Another famous Kardashian-NBA couple was Khloe Kardashian and Lakers legend Lamar Odom. The two met thanks to another former NBA player and got married after briefly dating. But their relationship didn’t last long. Both got separated just four years after their lavish wedding.
Those who were “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” (literally!) would remember the episode “Wedding” in season 4 of the show. This was all the way back in 2009 when they met each other and got married after just one month. Khloe met Odom at ex-NBA player Metta World Peace’s party. In a conversation, Odom revealed that he knew he wanted to be with her.
“With her, I was like, ‘If I do what I normally do, I’m going to lose her. And if I lose her, I think it’s going to hurt a lot. Right then and there, I knew. We were together every day,” he said to Playboy.

Well, that is what impressed the Good American owner. The two shared the same business manager, and when the Lakers legend found out, he frequently texted their manager to get her contact details. In an episode, she shared how the ex-NBA player would constantly text her, which actually made her happy.
Speaking to her best friend, Malika Haqq in The Kardashians, Khloe said, “Oh, I love a person who knows what they want. The best thing Lamar did. Well, not the best thing, he did a lot of good things — but when I wouldn’t give him my number but then he found out that we had the same business manager. And then [he] was hounding Lester for my info.”
After meeting each other, the two just knew they wanted to get married.
Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian’s marriage
Both announced their engagement in September of the same year. It was a bit fast indeed, but sources close to the couple confirmed that they were very sure and happy about their relationship. The two decided to tie the knot on the ninth day after their engagement in 2009. The fairytale wedding was, of course, captured by the cameras. The Kardashians have a knack for planning the most gorgeous weddings ever.

For the wedding, Khloe and the Kardashians chose Beverly Hills. The ceremony was held at the home of their family friend: Music producer Irving Azoff.
“It was quick. I guess that just added to the speculation — ‘Why can’t they wait …’ I didn’t want to wait,” the Los Angeles Laker legend said about his wedding.
The start of Khloe & Lamar
After their wedding, Odom had a very hectic but lovable life. Despite juggling so many things at the same time, he appeared content. Years later, the two also landed their first show, Khloé & Lamar. The NBA player was managing his NBA games while also returning for the show with Khloe.
The show made a debut on April 10, 2011, and focused on their life after marriage. The series lasted for two seasons, with the final episode released on May 13, 2012.
The two didn’t have any kids and hence, Khloe spoke about having kids. She said, “It was hard for me to understand what was happening because my mom had six kids, and Kourtney got pregnant quickly. People assume I’m desperate for a baby. And, yes, I would love to have a baby. But I’m 28, and I’ve been married three and a half years. I love my life, but it doesn’t feel incomplete right now.”
However, the real trouble began in 2013.
Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce
Suddenly, there were rumors about the NBA player’s infidelity. But the Good American owner stood by her husband. Both took to their social media handles to clarify the matter. This was in July 2013.

But in December, the socialite filed for divorce from Odom. However, the basketball legend wasn’t ready to do so. Despite having filed for divorce, Khloe showed support for the NBA legend, who had lost his friends in 2014. After much argument, the two finally signed their divorce papers and proceeded with the process in 2015.
“I miss what we had, things we got to do together are just memories. I like looking back and holding on to that stuff. I definitely miss it, and there’s times I’ll get so sentimental and so sad, but this had to happen for some reason. I’ll figure it out over time. Someone will give me that answer eventually,” Khloe said about her divorce.
But there was an incident in 2015 that forced Khloe to put everything aside and head back to her ex-husband. The ex-NBA player was taken to a Las Vegas hospital after being found unconscious. She withdrew from the divorce and stayed with Odom throughout the time to help him.

When Odom regained consciousness, the two were seen spending time together during his recovery. Khloe helped him both mentally and financially. However, their relationship didn’t work out. In 2016, Khloe filed for divorce again, and this time for good.
After spending seven years with Odom, Khloe later dated Tristan Thompson and had two kids. Now, years later, Odom and Khloe aren’t spotted together. While the two might not talk to each other, all Odom has are good wishes for his ex-wife.
