This off-season has certainly been bountiful. The conclusion of the previous NBA season resulted in various players being traded off and acquired, as teams tried to improve their roster. Many shocking and unexpected moments have come out over the past few months. One of the most relevant moves, of course, was the Suns’ acquisition of Beal. With Kevin Durant, Booker and Beal on the same team now, they have become the talk of the town.
A Celtics legend recently voiced his opinion on the and how it could impact the gameplay and performance of the Phoenix Suns.

A few weeks ago, news broke out that Bradley Beal was being traded over to Phoenix in exchange for Landry Shamet, Chris Paul and a few picks. The trade was made despite the fact that Beal had signed a five-year, $251 million contract last year with his former team, the Washington Wizards.

The news was a surprising one, with various people voicing their opinions. The Wizards were unfortunate as Beal controlled his trade destination through his possession of a no-trade clause. He also had a say over the trade pieces.

The 3× NBA All-Star had a good performance in the last season. Out of the 50 games played, he scored an average of 23.2 points for his team while also shooting 50.6% from the field, a career-best.
With a trio of Beal, Devin Booker, and Kevin Durant on the side of the Suns, things might look different for the Suns as they eye the 2023-24 championship.
Paul Pierce talks about the fit
It’s been six years since Boston Legend Paul Pierce retired from the game. However, that doesn’t mean that he has said goodbye to it. The 2008 NBA champ has kept himself involved in the basketball realm, as a spectator, and as an analyst.
The former Boston Celtics player recently opened up during an interview with Rachel Nichols and Tracy McGrady. Having earlier stated that Beal would be traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Pierce discussed the current Suns roster after the addition of Beal.
While Mcgrady believes that the recent events make the Suns the favorite to win next year’s title, Pierce thinks that an unobserved problem can prevent them from being so.

According to the 45-year-old former player, the players don’t ‘complement’ each other. Citing examples of previous championship teams with players facing a similar problem, Pierce believes that the trio wouldn’t be able to work well in the long run.
“Bradley, great player. Booker, great player. Of course KD (Kevin Durant). But they need the ball in their hands, all three of them.”
While Pierce believes that Kevin Durant can handle his gameplay without the ball, he isn’t so confident about the other two, stating that “they need to be effective.”
