Shaquille O’Neal has always seen himself as the undisputed legend of his domain. And why not? He dominated the NBA in a way few ever have. But recently, another legend in his own right, MrBeast, stepped into Shaq’s world—though not on the court. Instead, he did what he does best: pitching one of the craziest dares imaginable. However, this time, Shaq wasn’t a fan.
During a recent episode of ‘The Big Podcast’, MrBeast shared details about one of his most extreme stunts—burying himself alive in a coffin. First for a day, then two days, and eventually an entire week. Fans, of course, weren’t satisfied. They flooded his comments, urging him to go for a full month. But MrBeast wasn’t so sure.
“But yeah, that might be where I draw the line because laying down for a week straight, because obviously you can’t stand up. You’re just in this coffin deep underground. It hurts, man,” he admitted. “It hurts your back, It’s not the most comfortable. And you’re not meant to lay down that long and you can get blood clots.”

Then came the moment that caught Shaquille O’neal off guard. MrBeast hesitated but admitted that part of him still wanted to take it even further.
“So as of right now, I’m tapping out and I’m stopping out at a week. But part of me and my ego wants to be like, you can do a month. And I kind of want to go for a month. So it’s something I tussle with. But that just seems like such a…” Before he could even finish, Shaq shut it down immediately. “I say no. I say no,” Shaq interrupted.

Yet, fans love these extreme coffin challenges. Three years ago, MrBeast’s “I Spent 50 Hours Buried Alive” video pulled in a staggering 328 million views and over 244,000 comments.

Shaq has a “new Challenge” for MrBeast
Before Shaquille O’Neal threw his idea into the mix, MrBeast had a few challenges of his own in mind. Taking inspiration from Cristiano Ronaldo’s one-on-one match with a fan, he suggested something similar for him and Shaq. “We just filmed with Serena Williams… I can’t say who the final of the video is… It’s pretty crazy. So, yeah, just doing like some kind of cool 1v1 with Shaq… That’d be awesome,” he said. A battle between a YouTube king and an NBA legend? Now that would be something.
But Shaq had bigger ideas. “How about me and you walk the desert for 100 days…” he proposed. A challenge like that isn’t just about endurance—it’s about proving something legendary. So why the desert and not a 1v1? Because, in Shaq’s eyes, legends don’t do small things. “And legends don’t do small things,” he declared.

“I got it, MrBeast. We both dress up in disguises and we don’t tell anybody who we are, and we’re just best friends… And see who can recognize us. We’ll hit seven different countries…” Shaq said.
Whether it’s the desert, a global disguise mission, or something even crazier, one thing’s for sure—when Shaq and MrBeast team up, the challenge is bound to be legendary.
