By 2012, Allen made a shock move to the Miami Heat and paired up with the ‘Big Three’ – LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh. His defining moment came in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals, when he made a game-tying shot and became an important part of the Heat team that won the 2013 NBA Finals, his second championship.
But Allen had seen his role diminished due to his advanced age and limited physicality. He retired in 2014.
