World #1 Golfer Spent $10 Million Just to Be Neighbors With Billionaire Michael Jordan and Serena Williams in 2017

There would probably be no one who would not grab a chance to live beside the house of the NBA legend Michael Jordan and tennis legend, Serena Williams. And, the number one golfer in the world also grabbed the opportunity to live beside those stalwarts. The property that he bought just to be the neighbor of the NBA and tennis legend, was worth $10 million.

Well probably by now everyone has guessed the golfer the article is talking about. It is none other than the PGA tour star and the four-time major champion, Rory McIlroy.

Rory McIlroy dished out $10 million just to be the neighbors of Michael Jordan and Serena Williams

McIlroy moved to Florida, the golfing centre of the world, in August 2017. The 33-year-old bought a massive 12,800 square-feet mansion worth $10 million in a golf development area, The Bear’s Club, about 85 miles away from Miami. The gigantic mansion has seven bedrooms and surprisingly has ten bathrooms. Apart from that, it also features a huge balcony in the rear part of the property along with a massive swimming pool. Oh and not to forget it also includes a game room and a home cinema. The property is probably more than sufficient for the world’s number-one golfer.

The PGA tour star bought the huge mansion from his fellow South African golfer, Ernie Els. McIlroy bought his dream mansion shortly after he married the love of his life, Erica Stoll in his homeland Northern Ireland.

Interestingly, according to the popular British media house, ‘The Sun’, Rors’ mansion has an incredible neighborhood. The neighborhood included the houses of both the six-time NBA champion and 23-time Singles Grand Slam winner.

Incidentally, the property he bought didn’t only have the houses of MJ and Meka beside it. It was also the home of the tennis royalty’s sister, Venus William. Apart from that, the world’s number one golfer was also lucky to be the neighbor of other fellow golfers like Luke Donald, Ernie Els, and Michelle Wie.
