In his eight years in NBA, Draymond Green is yet to play a season where he is not involved in the playoffs. Perhaps a boon to have played in the golden generation of the Golden State Warriors.
Since 2012- the year when Green came into the Warriors side through the NBA Draft- the Warriors made it to the playoffs for seven straight seasons. They have been one of the finalists in the last five seasons- winning three of them. However, the summer of 2019 saw a few of their stars move away. To make matters worse, the stars who stayed- Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson– sustained major injuries. This saw the Warriors slump to a dismal record.

Draymond Green jokes about signing with a playoff team
55 games into the season, the Warriors have won just 12 games. The only way for Green to continue his playoff streak is by inflicting a buy off and sign with a playoff team. That is exactly what he told the reporters after the Warriors’ practice session on Tuesday. The reply left the people around him gasping.

Green brought some breath back to the reporters when he smiled and said: “I’m just playing.”
“Just trying to continue to get more rhythm with the guys that are here, continue to help them improve,” Draymond said. “And really just work on my own game. Not often you get the opportunity to work on your game in a game setting.
“These games matter, but they don’t matter. You’re not playing for seeding or trying to preserve your legs for the playoffs. So you really get the chance to work on some things in game situations that I want to work on and continue to try to help these young guys grow.”
