NBA 2K21 Next-Gen’s launch date is nearing, and with each passing day, new information about the game is surfacing. Recently, the gameplay director for NBA 2K, Mike Wang, revealed a bunch of new features.
In one of the bigger upgrades, if not the biggest, the fans will see an improved defensive and off-ball animation. The new animations look amazing and it will help players to enjoy the game on a whole other level.

In the off-ball defense, the player can be seen pestering the attacker even more and covering him better. Moreover, the improved animations add a certain essence to it.

While taking shots, foot planting is an important part going into the shooting motion. NBA 2K21 next-gen will get the job done in a much better way than the previous edition games.

Whether it is attempting for a drive to the rim or making space for knocking a jumper, you will see a much better motion from the defenders in body-ups.

Off-ball movement is an important part of the game. However, in the previous game, players could easily slip past defenders without seeing much obstruction. But in the next-gen, the off-ball contacts will stand out more with better animation.

Unless you are chucking up most of your shots from beyond the arc, attacking in the paint will get you a substantial amount of scoring. The defenders look much better and the shooting motion looks terrific while making contact in the paint.

What’s better than flying high towards the rim and dunking the ball hard? Well, the NBA 2K21 next-gen will have improved contact animation when you catch a body mid-air.

Taking charges can help a team break the momentum of their opponents and possibly put them in foul trouble. In the next-gen game. This aspect of the game will see an improvement as well.

Lastly, the next-gen game will utilize the PlayStation exclusive haptic feedback greatly. You will be able to feel the resistance while sprinting and post moves if the player is low on stamina.
