“Everyone be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine,” Durant told The Athletic. He added that he is feeling fine and not showing any symptoms. “We’re going to get through this.”

The team has still not identified any of the other three players. According to a Nets statement, out of the four players, only one was exhibiting symptoms. All four were isolated and were under the care of the team’s physicians.

Now, Nets General Manager Sean Marks revealed during a conference call that all four players do not have symptoms anymore.

Along with the four players, the team’s traveling party went into home isolation for 14 days. Even though the duration has concluded, the organization and its members are still practicing social distancing.

How other teams are helping contain COVID-19

Rudy Gobert of the Utah Jazz was the first player in the NBA to test positive for the virus. The NBA went on lockdown immediately after Gobert’s test results came out positive.

Gobert was blamed for not taking the virus seriously and behaving carelessly. His teammate, Donovan Mitchell, tested positive soon after; Gobert realized his mistake.

Both the Jazz players finished their 14-day quarantine and are practicing social distancing.

Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart also contracted the virus. Once he recovered, he stated he will donate his blood plasma to the National COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma Project. It will help with the research of this deadly pandemic and could even help to find a potential vaccine.

The other players could also be of major assistance to the cause should they decide to donate samples as well. It would further help researchers determine how to best treat this rapidly spreading disease, which is wrecking havoc across the world.

Those who recover from the virus develop antibodies in their plasma. These antibodies may help develop a vaccine. Developing one is crucial and necessary at this stage. Hence, if you are one of the fortunate ones to have recovered, please do consider donating your plasma towards the cause.
