The Philadelphia 76ers’ dominant home form was on full display as they secured a hard-fought 110-103 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Sixers finally changed course on Al Horford — he was moved to the bench in favour of Furkan Korkmaz. While Korkmaz himself underperformed, the change worked. Horford looked focused, and the Sixers’ offence looked considerably smoother.

Ben Simmons performs on both ends of the floor

Ben Simmons was impressive, dropping 26 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists en route to his sixth triple-double of the season. He bothered Kawhi Leonard and Paul George all night, and he worked effectively alongside Joel Embiid.

Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons may not be a good jump shooter but he can score easily in the paint. For example, Simmons converted on a backwards layup in the third quarter while Paul George defended him. He made his move to the basket off a Joel Embiid–assisted screen before pivoting and throwing up a wild shot without looking at the rim.

Philadelphia 76ers impresses as a team

Joel Embiid scored 26 of his own. He was able to establish deep post position early and often, which Simmons was kind enough to reward. The Embiid-Simmons two-man game worked magic all night.

Tobias Harris performed early in the contest, and Josh Richardson found his rhythm late. Richardson hit several timely baskets in the fourth and scored 21 overall, an emphatic return to form. He had struggled recently after returning from a hamstring injury.

While they’ve had their struggles on the road, their ability to rally in front of their home fans is something else. With today’s win, the 76ers improve to 25-2 at Wells Fargo Center this season, continuing their impressive home form this season.
