Michael Jordan had an illustrious NBA career spanning 15 years. He won six NBA championships with the Bulls in the 13 seasons he played for them. However, he retired from basketball in between his Bulls career and tried his luck in baseball.

Jordan signed a contract with the Chicago White Sox in the Minor League Baseball in 1994. His baseball career didn’t last long, but he still had several moments to cherish.

His Airness was assigned to Birmingham Barons in 1994 to play in the Double-A minor league. The Barons were the affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. Apart from the minor league, Jordan also played in the Arizona Fall League for Scottsdale Scorpions.

Jordan’s stint with the Scorpions wasn’t long, but it produced some iconic moments. One of the most iconic ones among them was hitting a triple. The video of Jordan scoring a triple has gone viral on social media, sparking reactions from several NBA fans.

The viral video of Jordan hitting the triple showed how Jordan ran and completed the run with an insane dive.

It showed how competitive Jordan was in baseball as well. NBA Twitter came up with some interesting reactions to the video.

Interestingly, Jordan crossed paths with an icon of baseball, Terry Francona. Terry is a two-time World Series champion as a coach and is a 2-time AL Managers of the Year. He spent several years coaching in the Chicago White Sox organization, where he met Michael Jordan. In the above video, Francona is seen sharing his thoughts on Jordan’s development in baseball.

Jordan’s baseball career was short and he couldn’t play a Minor League Baseball game. However, he did come back to the Bulls out of retirement and helped them win three straight championships for the 2nd time.
