Stephen Curry is a massive fan of golf and has been playing the game during the off-season. He has been participating in the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe. The man has won four NBA championships but said that the ACC Trophy would stand out amongst them all. He has ended his tournament in the top five spots at the ACC three times in his previous nine attempts at Edgewood. The Golden State Warriors point guard has said that if he wins the tournament, there would be some reshuffling necessary in his trophy cabinet.

After that, he got interviewed by Darren Riehl. Curry mentioned that he always wants to scratch that competitive golf itch. He said that his dad got him into the game. “My dad picked up the game,” said Curry, “when he was in his 20s”. He further stated, “He introduced it to me and my brother when we were 9/10. I slowly fell in love with the game, picked it up, and played it ever since.”?
Curry has confessed that he was a golf junkie and followed everyone on the tour. He got mostly influenced by one man: Tiger Woods. Curry said, “He was a big influence on me enjoying the game.” According to him, they share the same drive to be competitive.
He is one of the title contenders alongside other celebrities like 2021 winner Vinny Del Negro and Tony Romo. Others like John Smoltz and former golfing great Annika Sorenstam will also participate.
Stephen Curry and the golfing world
Stephen Curry has been with the golfing world for many years. There are many stories of him playing golf and treating his teammates and caddies well.

In 2019, Stephen Curry partnered up with Howard University to support the college?s first Division I golf program for six years. He also donated $25,000 to support ex-golfer Scott Harrington and his wife Jenn in her struggle with Hodgkin?s Lymphoma the year before that.
This year, he announced the Underrated Golf Tour which will be an AJGA-accredited junior tour and it will take place over the summer in five events. The players will get free lodging, food, and travel and will compete for the “Curry Cup”.
