The Big Aristotle shed some light on the matter from his point of view and even dolled out subtle ‘warnings’ meant for the former Nets superstar.

Before the February 9 deadline, speculations regarding Kevin Durant’s move to the Phoenix Suns had been making rounds in the league. However, there were no confirmed reports of it until the very last day. In a four-team blockbuster trade with the Suns, the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Indiana Pacers, the Nets traded KD and TJ Warren in exchange for Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, four first-round picks, and a 2028 first-round pick swap.

In the latest episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, co-host Nischelle Turner asked Shaquille O’Neal if he had patched things up with Kevin Durant reasoning that he ‘all alone in Brooklyn’. In response, the 4x NBA champion called himself a ‘jokester’ and explained that while he would joke or comment on certain stuff in front of the cameras, he never let it affect him personally once he was off the cameras. On the other hand, Turner speculated that Durant might have taken the whole situation as innocent banter and nothing more than that.

Shaq said, “Listen, we all…this is what we do. I’ve been doing this since 17 years old. Like, I don’t have to know you but when I get on the court, I’m gonna talk about you. I’m gonna talk about your mama but in real life, ‘Hello, what’s up?’. Hey man, I’m 50 years old, I ain’t got no problems with nobody.”

However, the former Los Angeles Lakers superstar also made it clear that if someone wanted problems with him then he would most certainly oblige them.

About two weeks ago, following Rui Hachimura’s trade to the Los Angeles Lakers, Shaquille O’Neal’s comment regarding the former Washington Wizards star triggered a sarcastic response from Kevin Durant. In an episode of Inside the NBA, Shaq confessed that he had no idea who Hachimura was. The Diesel reasoned that if a player wasn’t on the top 10 then he wouldn’t bother knowing who he is.

This comment by Shaq prompted KD to post a sarcastic tweet directed at the Lakers legend. Through his tweet, Durant questioned Shaq’s knowledge of basketball and thus began a back-and-forth Twitter war between the two NBA athletes.
