Recently, Phelps revealed that he is a massive Michael Jordan fan and was inspired by him. In an interview, he revealed that he and the rest of the three share certain similarities.?

While speaking with Yahoo! Sports, Michael Phelps said,?“Everyone was saying he was an asshole, but I always say the same thing about myself. I was an asshole when I was training because I wanted to help everybody make sure they had the same exact chance that I had. We’re all in there working together as a team, even though it’s an individual sport.”
He added, “Like, we want the best for each other. So I’m going to challenge them, and I’m going to make sure that they’re getting stress in practice that they’re going to face in a meet.”?
Michael Jordan and Michael Phelps – More than just a name in common
It?s not just the first name that they have in common, but a lot more than that. Phelps is a massive Michael Jordan fan too. In the interview, he even stated his desire to replicate his career off Jordan?s achievements. He wanted to do everything in swimming that Jordan did in basketball.?

Michael Phelps continued to speak about the similarities he saw between him and other greats of the sporting world. He said, “You know, I see stuff with him [Jordan ]and I. I see stuff with Peyton. I see stuff, you know, with all the greats, Tiger. We have a lot of the same similarities in how we were able to get our job done.”?
