One of the strangest controversies arose a few months ago. While the world saw and debated over an advertisement strategy, popular podcaster Joe Rogan decided to rain harsh criticism on them. Bud Light, a beer company, decided to partner with Dylan Mulvaney, a trans influencer, and everything went downhill from there.
Although Rogan showed no mercy to the company over their campaign, Bud Light recently received some love. Charles Barkley talked about his wish of drinking one of the most popular beers on earth. Although the conversation wasn’t in the same context as Rogan, Barkley’s stamp of approval must mean the world to them at this moment.

Rogan has been in a twisted relationship with Bud Light. When the campaign with Mulvaney’s face was launched, he called it a “goofy” act. However, with time, his views and opinion on the multi-billion-dollar corporation changed. Rogan had previously said that with the inclusion of a trans-influencer, the company is only trying to reach new audiences. However, within a month the UFC commentator made a 180 flip on his opinion. During the 1972nd episode of his popular podcast, Rogan flipped the script that he had on the beer company. Going back on his word, Rogan roasted the company over their new advertisement.
The newer Bud Light ad refers to the “Pro-American” agenda and tries to cater to the American audience. The ad features a backstory as well as the development story of the company, retelling how it is made for the American in everyone. However, Rogan couldn’t stop himself from making fun of the ad. He said “It’s like the f**king dumbest pro-America rah-rah. Like, we don’t know who you really are, now.” Now, months later, Bud Light has received some love from one of the NBA’s beloved athletes. Sir Charles talked about Bud Light on a very special episode of the NBA on TNT show.

Barkley also stated on the show that he wishes to drink it with a friend or colleague.
The occasion on the show was that the team was prepared to bid farewell to one of its main men. Show’s producer Tim Kiely left the show after finishing his last season with the team. So commemorating his contributions and impact on the show, the panel had him seated amongst them. Chuck said that since Kiely is leaving now, he’ll have to find a new drinking buddy. The NBA veteran said, “We can’t be drinking Sam Adams, we gotta drink Bud Light.”
