The previous deal that was signed with the Banc of California was a 15-year $100 million deal back in 2016. However, the deal was called off in 2020. This caused the Banc of California to pay $20 million for an early exit from their deal.
According to a report by ‘FrontOffice Sports’, the new deal between LAFC and Bank of Montreal was signed for $100 million for 10 years. Moreover, this made it a record-breaking deal at the time it was announced on January 21, 2023.
