The Denver Nuggets clinched their first-ever NBA Championship in front of a packed Ball Arena on Monday night. The celebrations went late into the night and, in some cases, till the next morning as well. Additionally, the team also engaged with the loud crowd inside the arena as they put an end to Nuggets fans’ 47-year wait. However, Jamal Murray’s accidental ignorance of an NFL star while engaging with fans triggered an adverse reaction on social media.

This victory meant a lot to the 26-year-old star, as he could be seen tearing up after the final buzzer. Murray returned to the hardwood after overcoming several hardships in the form of injury and personal issues. Despite the star’s much-deserved success, fans didn’t go easy on the Canadian’s unfortunate gesture toward a Denver Broncos star.

After the trophy presentation ceremony, Jamal Murray cruised through the cheering Nuggets crowd as he gave handshakes and fist bumps. Amid the noisy crowd, Broncos QB Russell Wilson also stood there to grab Murray’s attention. When Murray went past Wilson, he gave a gentle tap on his arms to get his attention, but unfortunately, Murray turned a blind eye to the NFL star on live TV. Following the incident, fans flooded social media with their own theories and questioned whether Murray did it on purpose. 

On the other hand, Wilson came off from a disappointing performance in the recently concluded NFL season with the Broncos after he signed a whopping $245 million contract with the team. However, the star has put in a lot of work in the off-season as trained alongside Javonte Williams and lost a few pounds as he gears up for the upcoming season.
