Shaquille O’Neal knows a thing or two about ‘die-hard’ fans. He has a fan following everywhere he goes. For instance, when he traveled to Australia earlier this year, fans stood for hours to get a glimpse of their favorite, O’Neal. However, when 2-time Super Bowl champion Von Miller opened up about the culture of die-hard fans that he has witnessed, all O’Neal could do was raise his eyebrows in a state of shock.

Von Miller joined Shaquille O’Neal, Nischelle Turner, and Spice Adams on the Big Podcast. The troupe spoke about everything under the umbrella of sports, the NFL, politics, and life. The four-time NBA champion even gave Miller a piece of advice about running a podcast. Amongst these topics, Von Miller opened up about the die-hard fans of the NFL team Buffalo Bills.

Von Miller opens up to Shaquille O’Neal about fans

Von Miller has played for the Denver Broncos, and LA Rams. He is currently with the Buffalo Bills. With this in mind, Spice Adams asked Miller to highlight the differences between the fans of the teams he has played so far. Adams warned him not to select the Bills as his favorite fan base because he plays for them currently. O’Neal quickly chipped in and said, “He has to be cooperate.”

With all jokes aside, Miller stated that all fan bases are different. In Denver, he explained, the fans continue to gloat about the great days of 1996-1999 while bleeding the colors of the team. On the other hand, in LA, he stated that despite sharing their stadium with the LA Chargers, the LA Rams have a huge fan base.

Miller then spoke about the fans of the Buffalo Bills who are very different compared to the rest. He stated that there is a real hunger amongst fans to see their team do well.

He added, “They jump through tables, they outside. It could be 70-degree weather, they got, you know, speedos on. You know, they got shirtless Santa, and they got all type of stuff.”

Miller admitted that the weather outside could reach the coldest level, but this didn’t matter to the fans. Miller stated some fans would be shirtless in the stadium. He said, “They making it look like they in Miami and it’s 95 degrees.” 

It was revealed on the podcast that Miller was starting a podcast named, The Voncast. While the name left Shaquille O’Neal impressed, he had a few words of advice for Miller. He encouraged Miller to be himself. O’Neal also told Miller not to be hesitant while criticizing someone.
