The Brooklyn Nets faced the Milwaukee Bucks on October 25 at the Fiserv Forum. While this was the Bucks’ third consecutive win since the season 2022-23 started, the Nets have only managed to bag one win. The Nets have played four games so far and have won in just one.

And former NFL player Shannon Sharpe is clearly not happy with a certain NBA star. However, Sharpe’s target is not the entire team but just one particular Nets star.

The former NFL player turned sports analyst, tweeted about the Nets’ recent game. Sharpe uploaded a video where fans could see that Simmons had deliberately passed that ball to Kevin Durant instead of taking a shot himself. Besides, Kyrie Irving was visibly frustrated and was urging Simmons to shoot the hoop after he passed the ball to Simmons. However, he passed it to KD who successfully took the shot instead.

In the caption, Sharpe wrote, This is ?EMBARRASSING? for an NBA player to be afraid to shoot the [ball].? Don?t care what anyone says, ?EMBARRASSING?

However, NBA veteran Rex Chapman came to Simmons’ rescue. The former Phoenix Suns player replied to Sharpe’s post where he compared Simmons to NBA legend Dennis Rodman.

Ben Simmons is like Dennis Rodman

The Brooklyn Nets vs Milwaukee Bucks game was a disappointing one for Nets fans as the team lost their third game of the regular season. What was more upsetting to see was the Nets guard Ben Simmons‘ score. Fans had thought that after missing out on the previous season due to physical and mental health issues, Simmons would be more than ready for the new season. However, the three-time NBA All-Star has yet to make a significant impact on the games he has played so far.

In an attempt to give Simmons’ the benefit of the doubt, Rex Chapman tried explaining his hesitation to score when he had the chance.

Chapman wrote, “Not preferable. But Rodman was like that. JKidd was afraid to shoot when he was young. Rondo. Many guys who ended up being good to great shooters. I don?t think Ben will ever be a great shooter but I think he can be good enough. He?s still really young. Obv struggling mentally.”

Given that Rodman is known as the Rebound King, it is probably pretty clear to fans what he is best at. While he would rarely score more than 20 points during his time with the Chicago Bulls, Rodman averaged more than 20 rebounds in more than 30 games.
