NBA Legend Dennis Rodman was going through a tough time after his career ended in 2000. He was struggling with alcohol abuse and he had several dangerous incidents. A former NFL player who was a friend of Rodman was worried that he might “hurt or kill himself.”
Rodman had a great career until 1998, and he won five rings. He was part of two of the greatest teams ever and he was a legend of the game. However, after Rodman left the Bulls, his career started to derail. His stints with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks were not great, and he was waived by both teams.

The problem started getting out of hand, and one incident forced his family and friends to take action. Dennis Rodman tried to ride a motorcycle under the influence and he ended up crashing. This led to a long stint in the hospital and multiple stitches.
One of his friends and a former NFL player, Floyd Raglin was very concerned about Rodman. He said, “He’s way out of control. Everybody likes to have fun, but I don’t want to see him get seriously hurt or kill himself–because that’s where he’s headed.”

After this, his wife at the time, Michelle Moyer, and his agent, Darren Prince, got on his back and sent strong messages to Rodman. Both of them threatened to leave him if he doesn’t get help with his drinking problem. The five-time champion took them seriously and started seeking professional help.
