Millions of fans tuned in to witness the most anticipated game of the NFL Season. The Kansas City Chiefs took on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night in Super Bowl 57. Dominating the first half of the game, the Eagles extended a lead over the Chiefs. But Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback of the Chief, was not one to give up quickly on the most important weekend of his life. Despite hobbling on the field due to a high ankle injury, Mahomes orchestrated a comeback.
Mahomes’ craft and excellence boosted the Chiefs toward bagging the championship title. The Chiefs beat the Eagles by a narrow margin, 38-35. Fans rushed online to celebrate the win, but one person in particular left both NFL and NBA fans in disarray.

2004’s NBA Champion Rasheed Wallace was heavily invested in the Super Bowl. He constantly updated his social media handles with videos of him celebrating and talking about the game. In the videos, Wallace pledge his allegiance to the Kansas City Chiefs and flaunted their jersey. He celebrated the victory by addressing the Philadelphia Eagles as the Pigeons.
The four-time NBA All-Star asked the Eagles’ fans to quit cribbing and complaining about the loss. He said, “Winners find a way to win. Losers find a way to lose.” Following this, he addressed the Eagles as “pretenders” and stated that the Chiefs were “bonafide champions”. He appreciated Jalen Hurts of the Eagles but was stubborn about his choice.
Amidst his rant, he mentioned that he was happy with Hurt’s contribution to the city he was from, but this didn’t matter since the Chiefs had won and were back to being champions. He concluded, “See you all pigeons next year, like I said.” Wallace’s strong rant left NBA and NFL fans in disarray.
