NBA legends Shaquille O?Neal and Michael Jordan are two of the best players to ever play the game of basketball. Despite their obvious size difference and different styles of play, there are many similarities between the two. The two were very dominant in their position and had a huge desire to win and dominate their opponents. The same can be attributed to NFL legend Tom Brady as well. However, Shaq recently claimed that there is another similarity between the three, and it is something that hurt their performance and their careers eventually.

Like Jordan, Tom Brady is considered the GOAT of his sport by many, including sports analyst Skip Bayless. The controversial analyst is a huge fan of Brady and Jordan. During one of the recent episodes of the Skip and Shannon: Undisputed show, Bayless and NFL legend Shannon Sharpe had a huge altercation with each other regarding Tom Brady. O’Neal recently gave his take on the whole ordeal.

Shaquille O?Neal on Tom Brady’s struggles

In the latest episode of the Big Podcast with Shaq, NFL veteran Spice Adams asked Shaquille O’Neal about the heated argument between Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless about Tom Brady. O’Neal noted that Brady is not playing like himself and implied that the quarterback’s personal issues are the reason. He added there are few players like himself, Brady, and Michael Jordan who couldn’t be stopped by any external stimuli except Father Time

Shaq said, “It’s a small amount of athletes that the only people who ever stopped them is ‘Father Time.’ I’m one of those athletes. Jordan is one of those athletes. Like, humans didn’t stop us, no defense you ever created stopped us.”

“But Tom is going through a lot of stuff personally and you know he’s getting older so probably gonna be like that for Tom especially if he decides to come back next year,” he added.

Therefore, Shaq pointed out that all three of them were victims of the curse of Father Time. Moreover, the Big Aristotle implied through his remarks that the curtains have unofficially been closed on Brady’s career. And that it wouldn’t be a fun experience for the NFL GOAT if he desires to come back.
