Charles Barkley and Kevin Durant’s Escalated Feud Gets 2 Cents From NFL Veteran: “That’s Kind of Messed Up Barkley”

NBA superstar Kevin Durant has been beefing with NBA legend Charles Barkley for quite some time now. And it is not looking like it is going to stop anytime soon. The infamous feud between the two started when Barkley referred to Durant as a “bus rider“. He suggested that KD was not the main man for the Golden State Warriors in their two title runs and so the rings cannot be considered as KD’s achievements. Ever since that, the two have been at each other’s throats. A former NFL star has now given his thoughts after a recent comment from Durant.

The 2014 NBA MVP was recently asked what he would tell Barkley if he sits down for a conversation. KD replied that he would not sit down with the Hall of Famer. This has been a major talking point and has added fuel to their feud.

Marcellus Wiley on the Kevin Durant-Charles Barkley feud

Marcellus Wiley has now given his take on Kevin Durant’s recent comments via his YouTube channel. The NFL veteran noted KD’s respect for Charles Barkley as a player first. He then talked about the whole situation and Barkley’s comments about the Slim Reaper being “sensitive”. Wiley also touched on Durant’s reaction to the comment via social media. The former Defensive End then recounted Chuck’s opinions about Durant winning two titles with the Warriors. He could not fathom someone who did not win a title making such comments about someone who has won two so far.

Wiley said, “The dude ain’t got one, said, ‘Oh we gonna respect you when you get one without Steph Curry, without Golden State Warriors in a 73 win team.’ Like, I ain’t got one. I ain’t tripping but it ain’t even on me. But it’s on you to go get another one without those guys when you already got two with those guys and proved you were the best player with those guys. That’s kinda messed up Barkley.”

Even though Wiley gave props to Barkley for always speaking his mind, he did not think the criticism of Durant was fair. Wiley is not the only one to side with KD. Recently, Stephen A. Smith showed his support with regard to Barkley’s comments on Durant being “sensitive”.

Charles Barkley never won an NBA title during his illustrious career, something which many people troll him for. Also, when the 1993 NBA MVP criticized Durant for winning titles with the Warriors, KD reminded the world about Chuck’s failed attempts to win a title.

Barkley joined legends like Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler, and Scottie Pippen in Houston in 1996 in order to get his hands on the coveted trophy. But it never came to be as Barkley eventually retired without a ring in 2000. He is still considered to be one of the greatest players to never win a ring.
