The trade between Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers was probably the only trade that got a lot of media attention. The trade sent the league’s best shooting guard, James Harden, to play alongside Joel Embiid at the Sixers. Ever since the trade, spectators and analysts have been wondering how well Harden will adjust to the team.
James Harden is a pretty well-adjustable player. He finds himself a role and sticks to it. Many analysts earlier believed that Harden would not be able to play on the Nets due to his preference for ISO plays. However, Harden sacrificed and flourished on the team.
If Harden can find the same balance on the Sixers, it could be a scary sight for the Eastern Conference. Joel Embiid was asked what the potential their duo could have. To this, Embiid replied “(Harden) used to say Scary Hours, I say Scary Minutes (for the 48 minutes they’re on the floor).”

Since Harden has not made his Sixers debut yet, everything is up for speculation. However, statistically, Harden and Embiid have the potential to become the most lethal duo in the league. Although it may take them a few weeks to adjust to each other’s game as Harden will have to get a flow of the Sixers offense and defense.
But, once Harden achieves synergy with the Sixers roster, there is nothing that team could not achieve.

Through his time on the court, Embiid has already proven himself to be a decent shooter. He successfully makes a lot of shots within the paint. Moreover, he does not need to do more as he is a post player. However, ever since the Harden trade, Embiid can be seen focusing more on mid-range shots.
If a player like Embiid improves on his shooting, he may just become the most deadly big man in the NBA.
