The off-season started in arguably the worst way possible for the Brooklyn Nets. Their franchise cornerstone, Kevin Durant sent shockwaves around the NBA world after requesting a trade. However, after all the twists in the saga, the two parties are now back in sync. The 12-time All-Star agreed to move forward with his partnership with the Nets. Likewise, KD has a skilled entourage around him.
With Durant back in the mix, the Nets have an established ‘Big 3’ ready to go for next season. Kyrie Irving was the first to fulfill his commitment by opting in for his final year. KAI is certainly one of the most crafty scorers in the NBA. His handles often leave defenders on the floor. If available, this elite scoring duo can make some serious noise next season.
However, Brooklyn has a stellar defensive upgrade with former All-Star Ben Simmons.?After not making a single appearance last season, the 6’10” guard is ready to get back on the floor. His inclusion makes the Nets a threat on both sides of the floor. Now. it all depends on acquiring the right pieces. And Durant has made his pick.

Peeking into the Los Angeles Lakers locker room, the Slim Reaper wants to reunite with his Olympic teammate, Carmelo Anthony.?
Kevin Durant bringing Melo to Brooklyn?
Melo and Durant first came on the scene during their Olympics journey. Notably, they were teammates together in the USA’s gold medal conquest in 2008 and 2012. Anthony ranks among the most decorated scorers in basketball history. Likewise, his domination on the international stage was no surprise. He ranks only behind KD as the all-time scorer for the USA basketball team.
However, the former New York Knicks forward is arguably nowhere near his prime anymore. Playing the role of a potential sixth-man, NBA fans were left in a state of confusion. They didn’t agree with the vision that Durant has in his mind. And they let the Slim Reaper know by sharing their thoughts on Twitter.

While not at the pinnacle of his powers, Carmelo Anthony can still be a major difference maker. Sharing the court with his best friend, LeBron James, the former scoring champion still had his rhythm. Putting up 13.3 points per game, Melo provided valuable offense off the bench. However, the Lakers needed every last ounce of his scoring.
On the other hand, the Brooklyn Nets are loaded with a truckload of bucket getters. Apart from their frontline duo, they have a budding Cameron Thomas ready to fill in. The LSU talent has big shoes to fill with James Harden leaving for the Philadelphia 76ers. The franchise has also added players such as T.J. Warren who can give them the scoring boost off the bench.
