Over the course of her life, Queen Elizabeth II met many people and greeted them with her questions. For Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse and Raptors fans, the Queen’s question was not something that Nurse expected.?

As a response to a reporter’s question about his meeting with the Queen during a press conference, he shared his experience with him. This was back when Nurse managed Great Britain’s Olympic team at the 2012 London Olympics.?

Not only he but also the fans found the experience quite humorous. Accordingly to Nurse, the experience was “really cool.”?Nurse added that they had an amazing conversation following their meeting at the Olympic Village.

Recalling what happened, he explained to the reporter: “I just remember somebody opened up the door and said, ‘Hey, anybody wants to meet the Queen? Come down now!'”

Moreover, he described the struggle he had gone through to meet the Queen face to face. When it was finally his turn to meet her, he said:?“She came up, very nice conversation,”?Nurse explained. “She said, ‘And what do you do?’ I said, ‘I’m with the senior men’s basketball team,’ and she said, ‘You’ve got to be quite tall to play basketball, don’t you?'” The coach mimicked the way she spoke as well to add to the humor of the story.?

In response to this insightful question, Nick Nurse responded by saying, “Yes, you do.” The meeting and exchange between the two will surely be a story that Nurse recalls many times over.?
