Shaquille O’Neal gets roasted by co-host while talking about Ben Simmons
Three-time NBA All-Star Ben Simmons and Shaquille O’Neal are not the best of friends. With the whole NBA world talking about Simmons the past couple of seasons, Shaq also chimed in on the conversation.
Talking on Inside the NBA, he brutally roasted Simmons for his antics with the Philadelphia 76ers and also for his subsequent move to the Brooklyn Nets.
During one of his rants, O’Neal called Simmons a ‘crybaby‘ for the way he handled his situation with the 76ers. After a fallout with the team, Simmons did not play a single game for the Sixers during the 2021-22 season. He then joined the Brooklyn Nets with James Harden going the other way.
During the podcast, Nichelle Turner put out an interesting proposition of Shaq meeting Ben Simmons. Shaq didn’t look to agree with her. Moreover, shortly after this, Turner brought out something from Shaq’s past.
It is his history with free throws! She said, “I bet if he heard the story you are telling right now, how you were scared sh*tless at the free throw line, I bet that might do something for him.”

There is no denying that Shaq is one of the greatest players ever. However, teams across the NBA exploited his struggles from the free-throw line extensively.
The four-time NBA champion had a free throw percentage of just 52.7 spanning his long and glorious career in the league. Taking advantage of this, opposition teams developed the ‘Hack-a-Shaq’ technique which slowed down the 7-foot-1-inch center. However, this sole tactic was not enough to slow him down as he retired being one of the greatest players ever.
