The game is popularly referred to as “The Shot.” Craig Ehlo is another person whose name is recalled every time the world talks about that night. Ehlo was the Cavaliers’ guard who attempted but failed to block Jordan’s game-winning shot. Since that day, Ehlo’s name has been tied with Jordan. However, this was not the first time the two had encountered on a historical night.
Craig Ehlo saw himself as lucky because he was able to play alongside some of the best players of the era. And his role with the Cavaliers was to oppose and defend Michael Jordan. He said, “I was always thrilled to be in that position.”

March 28, 1990, is another historic date in NBA history. On this day Jordan scored 69 points, his highest score ever. And the team it came against was the Cleveland Cavaliers. And yet again Craig Ehlo found himself defending against the Chicago Bulls legend in his prime. In an interview, Ehlo recounted his thoughts at the time and shared how Jordan had humbled him.
He said, “?It was his 69-point game, and things were going so well for him that I guess he just went for it.” And all the other Cavs players were going after him. That’s when Jordan came to Ehlo and said, “Listen man, I’m hitting everything, so I’m gonna tell you what I’m gonna do this time and see if you can stop it. You know you can’t stop it, you know you can’t stop this. You can’t guard me.”
