Westbrook has a tendency to argue with the media and journalists. If a reporter ends up asking him a question he does not like, Westbrook tends to give his unfiltered opinions.
Fans react after a Lakers legend advises Westbrook
Lakers legend Magic Johnson had some stern advice for Russell Westbrook. Johnson played 13 seasons for the Los Angeles Lakers. He won three MVP awards, and three finals MVPs and brought five NBA championships to the team. Johnson is a highly decorated legend in the Los Angeles community and is one of the most beloved legends as well.
So when Magic Johnson has some advice for someone, it is in the player’s best interest. Johnson’s advice for Westbrook was, “First off, take accountability. If you don’t play well, admit it. Stop trying to fight the media and the fans and go out and perform.”

Now, either Westbrook can follow through on what Johnson said to him or lash out. We’ll have to wait and see how that unfolds. However, fans have already given their verdict.

Russell is gonna keep doing wat he does best, which is keep jacking up shots and bricking them. Then when the media ask him questions he will get mad with them plain and simple.

Russell Westbrook was once an offensive beast. His energy and relentlessness on offense were never-ending, and he was known as a walking triple-double machine. But that started being used against him.
Fans and analysts started calling him a player who only cares about his stats. Russell’s best days in the NBA were with the Oklahoma City Thunder. And although nobody expects him to return to that level, fans, analysts, coaching staff, and probably even his teammates, expect him to make smart decisions on the court.
