Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen and ex-wife Larsa Pippen’s divorce was a messy tumultuous journey. Pippen and Larsa decided to part ways 19 years after the couple tied the knot in 1997. The six-time NBA champion filed for divorce in 2016, shortly after Larsa made a controversial call to 911 for ‘domestic disturbances’. However, the couple reconciled a year later. The reconciliation only lasted a year after which it was Larsa’s turn to file for divorce. The divorce was already a messy one but the terms of the divorce settlement baffled a certain stand-up comedian.

Scottie Pippen and Larsa first met in 1995 and tied the knot about two years later. It seemed like everything was going well. The seven-time NBA All-Star was at the peak of his career when he got married to the then-love of his life, Larsa. Following their messy divorce, the couple shifted their focus to their four children who they have decided to raise together.

In an interview with DJ Vlad, stand-up comedian Aries Spears turned furious when he heard about the terms of NBA legend Scottie Pippen’s divorce settlement. Spears and DJ Vlad were talking about the ongoing rumors surrounding Larsa Pippen and Michael Jordan‘s youngest son, Marcus Jordan.

As the duo engaged in further discussion, Vlad informed Spears that Larsa received a chunk of the Hall of Famer’s pension excluding the child support and spousal support. On hearing what Vlad said, Spears asked, “And you defend this sh*t?” Vlad responded that he wasn’t defending it.

While the two former teammates barely had a friendly relationship outside the court, there was no hostility as well until the release of MJ’s docuseries The Last Dance.
