The Golden State Warriors dropped another bad performance against the Phoenix Suns recently. This loss also dropped their away record to 0-8. Except for Stephen Curry, the team fumbled with the ball and looked disjointed. Only Curry was there standing at the forefront to save his team from the loss. However, even with a masterclass of 50 points, the Dubs guard was unable to save the Warriors from an 11-point loss. The Dubs superstar, along with their head coach, Steve Kerr, constructively criticized the team after the game. Meanwhile, Stephen A. Smith voiced out his opinions on ESPN’s First Take regarding the Dubs guard and the current situation of the Warriors.

Stephen A. Smith recently reflected on the ongoing situation of the Warriors. He addressed the sudden change of stance of the California side. He explained how the Warriors didn’t come into the season thinking of rebuilding, but instead expected Klay, Moody, Wiseman, and Kuminga to perform. But when that backfired, it all seemed like they were rebuilding.

Gauging the situation, Smith recommended a large scale trade for the Golden State Warriors. He suggested that if the Warriors plan to change their strategy, then they should make the trade for Kevin Durant. He urged repeatedly to trade for KD and not let the hard work of Stephen Curry go in vain. Smith also added, “You can’t waste the greatness of Stephen Curry. You can’t waste it”??

The reason behind this statement from Smith was probably seeing the one-man show of the Dubs guard in recent games. Smith finished off by saying that he also expected that the Warriors could have been great with this team.

But now that things haven’t gone as expected, he urged the Warriors to save their ship from sinking by making the necessary changes in the squad.

Incidentally, Kevin Durant trade rumors have dominated the NBA world all summer after the Nets superstar’s trade request. Therefore, a KD trade is not entirely a fantastic proposition for the Dubs.
