The Eastern Conference finals between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat are heating up by the day. Despite being the #8 seed, the Heat led by Jimmy Butler made a brilliant post-season run and made it to the finals. Moreover, they stunned fans around the world after they took a huge 3-0 series lead. However, the Celtics are slowly starting to find their groove and have won 2 games in a row.
Derrick White, the 28-year-old Celtics player, was the star of game 5. Interestingly, it seems he received a special four-word message from his father right before he dropped a masterclass.

The Boston Celtics have one of the best rosters in the league currently. With stars like Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart, the Celtics make a strong case for winning the NBA title despite being down 3-0. In game 5 against the Heat, there was an unlikely hero.
It was Derrick White. He scored 24 points, 1 assist, and 3 rebounds to lead the Celtics to a 110-97 win over the Heat. Just hours before the game, he had received a four-word message from his father.
The message simply read DTBG. While it may seem like a cryptic message to many, Richard White’s message for his son was nothing new to him. The message meant ‘dare to be great’ and Richard White has been texting this to his son for quite some time.
Moreover, he asserted that his son doesn’t like to lose and tries to win in every field of life. Thanks to Derrick White’s incredible performance, the Celtics have some hope. They are just one win away from equaling the series 3-3. This certainly has put some pressure on Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat, who are resorting to ‘beer and wine’ to cope with the loss.

Following a 116-99 blowout win in game 4, Butler was asked about his thoughts on the loss during the post-match press conference. Butler commented on how a lapse in the defense gave the game away to the Celtics.
“We are going to listen to some music, we’re going to drink some beers back there, I’m going to go have some wine”, said Butler after the game. It seems he might have to reconsider the team’s tactics after a game loss as all the pressure is on the Heat after the game 5 loss.
