Kyrie Irving shared images of four artworks layered with hidden meanings through his Twitter handle. One of the pictures displayed two booths titled “Unpleasant Truths” and “Comforting Lies” while the people lined up in long queues only for the Lies. Days after he deleted his apology post for his antisemitic comments on Instagram, Gram suspended Irving’s handle. However, the actual reason behind the suspension hasn’t been officially revealed by both the party.
Irving responds to the deleted apology post
In November 2022, he shared a post apologizing for sharing a tweet related to an antisemitic film. The apology read, “I am no different than any other human being. I am a seeker of truth and knowledge, and I know who I Am.” However, he deleted the post after a month. He reasoned, “I delete things all the time, and it’s no disrespect to anyone within the community…I stand by who I am and why I apologized.”
