Days after his blockbuster trade, the new Dallas Mavericks star Kyrie Irving stirred the NBA world again with his uncanny tweet. The Mavs star has emerged as one of the most controversial figures in the NBA throughout his career. Moreover, he faced suspension for a controversial tweet this season. However, once again the star’s cryptic images posted on Twitter attracted a lot of attention and harsh opinions from the fans.

Uncle Drew also faced a suspension from the Nets management for a controversy related to antisemitic beliefs earlier this season. 7x NBA All-Star reportedly apologized for his actions and returned to the court after the team management lifted the ban.

Kyrie Irving shared images of four artworks layered with hidden meanings through his Twitter handle. One of the pictures displayed two booths titled “Unpleasant Truths” and “Comforting Lies” while the people lined up in long queues only for the Lies. Similarly, the other three images also had a hidden message. The Mavericks star didn’t provide any interpretation of the images as he didn’t add any caption to the uploads.

However, reacting to the tweet, the fans flooded in with varied opinions on the star. Many fans shared hilarious memes in the comments section to ridicule his tweet. One user said, “yikes, the symbolism in that third one.” Following are some reactions from NBA Twitter.

Days after he deleted his apology post for his antisemitic comments on Instagram, Gram suspended Irving’s handle. However, the actual reason behind the suspension hasn’t been officially revealed by both the party.

Irving responds to the deleted apology post

In November 2022, he shared a post apologizing for sharing a tweet related to an antisemitic film. The apology read, “I am no different than any other human being. I am a seeker of truth and knowledge, and I know who I Am.” However, he deleted the post after a month. He reasoned, “I delete things all the time, and it’s no disrespect to anyone within the community…I stand by who I am and why I apologized.”
