At the height of his career with the Chicago Bulls, playing alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, Rodman made his fateful debut in Hollywood. In 1997, an action thriller film named ‘Double Team’ hit the theatres, with Rodman playing one of the lead roles in the movie. The Worm starred alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme and Mickey Rourke. The movie performed well in the first few weeks after its release, owning to Rodman’s debut on the silver screen. However, the hype surrounding the film died down, and it became a box-office bomb. Moreover, the firm faced the wrath of critics and millions of fans.

Instead of getting nominated for prestigious awards like the Oscars and Golden Globes, Rodman and his team took center stage at the parody awards Razzies. The Razzies’ honored’ Rodman and the movie with a host 0f awards. Rodman’s performance earned him the “Worst New Star,”?“Worst Supporting Actor” awards. And he shared?“Worst Screen Couple” award?with co-star Jean-Claude Van Damme.

However, Rodman is not the only All-time NBA star who faced humiliation from the parody award show. 4x NBA champion LeBron James came out with ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ last year.? In an attempt to capture the magic of the original Space Jam, James and Co went all out with the budget and promotion. However, the film received massive criticism following its release. Like Rodman, James also earned “Worst Actor” for his performance.
