Home/NBA

While being able to play in the NBA is a major achievement in itself, having your jersey number retired by the league is an even bigger honor. NBA legends Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant have all been given the well-deserved tribute by the league upon retirement, and so was?Dennis Rodman. Although, if you know?‘The Worm’?well enough then you would also know that a relatively quiet and formal tribute wouldn’t just be enough for Rodman. This is probably why he chose to do the honor in the one place that only the?Chicago Bulls?legend could think of – a strip club.

One thing that a Dennis Rodman fan would know about it is that the Rebound King has never let societal pressures and barriers command his life. The 5x NBA champion was arguably way ahead of his time with a knack for cross-dressing and doing what many celebrities would refrain from due to fear of bad publicity.

It is no secret that the 2x Defensive Player of the Year was a frequent visitor to strip clubs. In fact, two of the things that Rodman loves the most in this world are probably women and basketball. Therefore, it was only fair that he would bring those two together. Interestingly, Rodman is not the only NBA player to?‘retire’?his jersey in a strip club.
