With the Boston Celtics facing a 3-0 deficit and on the brink of a potential sweep, Barkley’s comments added an extra layer of humor to the high-stakes playoff series.

When Tatum came into the arena, Barkley asked a hilarious question about his outfit. Barkley pointed at Tatum’s shirt and said “Does that say Bahamas?” making his fellow colleague Shaquille O’Neal laugh aloud. Tatum was wearing a shirt on which the name of the brand “Nahmas” was written. Barkley’s question insinuated that the team’s performance had been lackluster.

In addition to this, he feels the Celtics deserve a vacation rather than fighting to stay alive in the playoffs. The team, facing an uphill battle to avoid being swept in the series, had failed to meet expectations and fell short of their potential. Barkley’s remarks served as a not-so-subtle reminder of the Celtics’ underwhelming performance and their need to elevate their game if they wanted to stay in contention. However, Barkley trolling players for outfits is ironic as he himself was once mocked for donning a woman’s attire.

Charles Barkley once dressed like a woman only to be trolled
