The NBA Draft has collected the limelight now. The joy of watching players who will begin their NBA journey is unparalleled. Victor Wembanyama was the number pick, as has been predicted for months. His agility and unprecedented skills at 7’4 tall mesmerize fans. However, with talents like Scoot Henderson and Brandon Miller, the draft showcased its versatility too.
Many teams would have loved to land Wembanyama but there are prospects that are generating quite a buzz.

The Rockets have been one of the worst teams in the NBA since the departure of James Harden. They did land talents like Jabari Smith Jr and Jalen Green, but they need much more. To add to their quest for bringing a change, they added Amen Thompson as the number four draft pick. Thompson played for Overtime Elite last season and has grown into a promising athlete.
The #Rockets just drafted their franchise quarterback.

During a media sit-down, he revealed his thoughts, stating, “ We got some of the most athletic guys in the whole league. That’s where I could fit in. Guys like Jalen Green, Jabari, just give them more looks where they can capitalize on how they shoot”.
Thompson led OT’s City Reapers to the title and was one of the best passers and quick-time scorers in the league. So, adding him compliments the athletic core as stated by the athlete himself. The Rockets lacked consistent playmaking last season and need a franchise-turning player.
Victor Wembanayama is tabbed as a generational talent, but the Rockets seem happy with a player like Thompson. And while Wemby appears to be a franchise-leading figure for the San Antonio Spurs, the Overtime Elite alum will face a much more tricky situation, playing alongside ball-dominant players Jalen Green and Kevin Porter Jr. At six-feet-seven-inch tall, he can generate some match-up advantages at the Point Guard position.

A commenter even had a roadmap as to how the Franchise should build around the Guard
He is a culture changing player. Hope his game translates and guy becomes a star. It’s so easy to root for both twins. Hope Rockets stay away from Harden business, clean the house from bad actors and build with Amen as their leader.
