NBA superstars LeBron James and Stephen Curry have been going against each other for years now. During James’ second stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he and Curry faced each other in four straight NBA finals. While the Golden State Warriors won three, the Cavs won one. However, the one loss that came in 2016 does hurt a lot of fans because it happened after the Warriors had just broken the regular season record with 73 wins.

Also, the manner in which they lost the finals was a huge disappointment and shock for the fans. After going 73-9 in the regular season, there was a huge expectation and pressure for the Warriors to win the title. Because when the Chicago Bulls made the 72-10 record, they won the title. Even though it is still a huge accomplishment, without a ring, it might look meaningless. And they knew it.

In 2016, the Cavs slipped to a 3-1 deficit to the Warriors and there was not much hope left. Because no team has ever come back from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals. But LeBron James and the Cavs were not ready to give up and took one game at a time. Finally, they clinched their first-ever title in a nail-biting game 7.

As the Cavs landed back home, James was seen wearing an Ultimate Warrior t-shirt. This did not sit well with the Warriors fans who felt it was an ultimate dig against the Dubs. However, James clarified that Ultimate Warrior is one of his favorite all-time favorite wrestlers and his therefore wife bought him that t-shirt.
