Tennis legend Chris Evert has blessed America with her presence on television since the early 70s. In recent years, Evert has also gotten in front of a camera for the silver screen. Moreover, Evert’s natural talents and knack for acting and showmanship have netted her a fortune over the years. Another all-time athlete who has a lot of money and has also acted in movies is Billionaire LeBron James.

Incidentally, Evert and King James appeared in the same movie that hit theaters in 2015. The image of the 18-time Grand Slam winner with pigtails
dominating the grass courts remains vibrant in the memories of long-time fans. However, with all her undertakings in the media industry, Evert is slowly changing that image to a fun-loving Hollywood actress. Like Evert, James is no stranger to a Hollywood set’s shining lights and cameras. Many fans believe James has done an impressive job on the silver screen so far. Among the many movies James has starred in, the one that stands out is his role on ‘Trainwreck’. The movie grossed $140 Million and also had Evert in it. In the comedy, James appears in numerous scenes. In one of them, he performs alongside Evert and Bill Hader. In the hilarious scene, James and Evert, who are playing themselves, are part of an intervention for Bill Hader’s character.

Both James and Evert received high praise for their performance in the movie. But Evert attributed the success of her role to the fact that she was playing herself. Evert said, in a 2015 article, “I don’t want to be Meryl Streep, When I see an athlete in a movie, I see the athlete. It’s not realistic. We’re too identified as ourselves.” Her comments on Streep, though benevolent in nature, might be construed as a slight shade or a snub by some fans.
