In 1995, Kevin Garnett entered the draft right after graduating from High School. With this feat, he became the first player in 20 years to enter the draft straight out of high school. Garnett was the 5th pick and went to the Minnesota Timberwolves. From then on, he grew into becoming an NBA star who bagged the championship title with the Boston Celtics in 2008. However, the ‘Big Ticket’ made the headlines much before his NBA days. 

In the year he was drafted, Garnett was a part of the McDonald’s All-American High School team. In the game between the West and the East, which took play in Missouri, he bagged the MVP award and made himself known to the NBA world. While he created magic, there were other NBA Legends on the All-American team. Earlier today, Garnett turned back the clock and remembered the class of 1995 which was filled with legends like Chauncey Billups, Vince Carter, and Paul Pierce.

Kevin Garnett posted a picture of the entire class of 1995. He paired it with a caption that read, “Golden Era when ish was REAL.” He tagged Billups, Cater, Pierce, and Twan Jamison and wrote, “aww man, the days!!” 

While Garnett was in a reminiscent mood, NBA Fans couldn’t control the nostalgia and reacted to his tweet. They called the team tough and filled with players who can be termed to be the greatest of all time. Fans stated that back in 1995, the game of basketball was pure and real. Some claimed for this list of players to be crazy. They also were enamored with the talent present. Many called them to be the greatest name in history of all sports. McDonald’s 1995 All-American game

The All-American McDonald’s game is akin to an All-Star game at the high school level. It is played at the end of each high school season. In 1995, the game was played in St. Louis, Missouri. The was on the CBS channel. The West beat the East by 11 points and the star of the game was Kevin Garnett who bagged 18 points, and 11 rebounds.

Out of the 22 players in the game, 15 made it to the NBA. Garnett and Pierce won the championship title with the Boston Celtics in 2008 while Billups won it in 2004 with the Detroit Pistons. Billups and Pierce won the Finals MVP in their respective years while Garnett bagged the season MVP award in 2004.

On the other hand, Vince Carter retired ringless. However, he was part of eight All-Star weekends and was the Rookie of the Year in 1999.
