The Lakers players have long been known for their excellence. Although LeBron James may be driving the team now, the Lakers have provided great players in the past. In the 80’s everyone was talking about them.

Earlier this week, the trailer of a series titled “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty” was released.

James recently tweeted about the reveal of the show and seemed very excited about it, which consists of some insights about two great names for the Los Angeles Lakers — Jerry Buss and Magic Johnson.

LeBron James is looking forward to the upcoming series “Winning Time.”

In this limited series, there will be ten episodes. It is based on Jeff Pearlman’s book: “Showtime: Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers Dynasty of the 1980s.”

Magic Johnson, whose craze over the audience was unbeatable, plays a central role in the documentary as it revolves around the late Lakers owner Jerry Buss.

The show covers both the personal and professional lives of those associated with the Lakers back in the day. The tagline for the series goes: one of the sports’ most revered and dominant dynasties — a team that defined its era, both on and off the court.

As in the 1980s, the Lakers dominated the basketball world, and this series focuses on the legends Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson rising to fame.

James‘ excitement for this project may come as a surprise to some people. The series has not appeased the NBA as well as the other people who have been associated with the Lakers. The following statement appears in Matthew Belloni’s article on Monday:

And it’s absolutely true that the Buss family, the Lakers leadership, its ’80s-era players, and the NBA, in general, all absolutely hate this show,” Belloni wrote.
