Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan has had a controversial history of speaking out on politicians and politics. For instance, he was once heavily criticized for not supporting or endorsing a candidate who competed during an election in North Carolina.
However, when MJ’s friend turned foe, Charles Barkley was rumored to get into politics, Jordan held nothing back. He talked about how he will not vote for someone like Barkley. Moreover, MJ also revealed why Barkley would fail in politics.
MJ said, “Hell, no! [Laughs] No. No way. He’s witty, he’s smart, but he’s not a politician. He’s gotta help his own people. They’d vote for him down in Arkan…Alabama. I wouldn’t vote for him for s**t in North Carolina.”

Chicago Bulls legend, Michael Jordan, and Charles Barkley once were good friends. Despite being rivals on the court, they shared a healthy off-court relationship. However, their relationship is not the same as today.
Jordan is the owner of the NBA team Charlotte Hornets and his decisions come under the radar sometimes. The same can be said about Charles Barkley.
In 2012, Chuck made some comments about Jordan and talked about his management of the Charlotte Hornets. He said, “I thought the people he hired around him were too many ‘yes men,’ that was actually my statement. I thought the people around him. They wanted the private jets.”

Chuck’s criticism wasn’t taken well by Jordan, and this caused a rift in their friendship. Talking in an interview in 2020, Barkley further explained, “The guy was like a brother to me for, shoot, 20-something years. I wish him nothing but the best. But, there’s nothing I can do about it, brother.“
The two NBA Hall of Famers are still yet to mend their friendship and safe to say, MJ certainly does not like anyone to criticize his working ways.
